I don't know if this is good practice but when I'm messing up placing my vertices I sometimes use the smooth tool in sculpting to prevent my smooth model to have dents in it?
so this is my progress so far, I always like to start with an anatomy study, for practice purposes. as you can see I started with a dinamesh, next is design her cloth :poly101:
Thanks for the comments guys! I'm calling this done. The rig for this model is awful! I really have to practice on that. I'll leave this here so I can prepare for DOW5. Rendered with Xoliulshader of course :)
hey nice work! solid hi poly and nice bake...I think the texture could be improved but im sure with a lil more practice you'll get em looking great soon
Overall happy with the Character for the time spent and model budget. First time using new programs and practices in my workflow ( Quixel Suite, Substance Painter, PBR). Will be using these more for future projects.
hes rubbish... NO cock... and feet... i think you need to learn a thing or two about anatomy sir... also those lions teeth are going to chafe that mans head think of the practicalities!!!
Well I haven't been able to touch this comp for a bit since last update. But decided to make the blunderbuss from start to finish so I could practice the DDO! Few hours in on this.
i would say if than hand drawn :) Its for practice so would be nice to learn how to edit normals too ^^ ps: feels great to have the power over a thread hehe
I wouldn't put this on a reel, if just because of the length alone. 5 to 10 seconds is more than plenty... a different dialogue with more overt emotion would be better, as practice and reel piece.
