Alright so I got the low poly down to 13'500 tri's and started working on the texture. Still a balancing act to try and get everything working together and there appear to be anomalies that are appearing on the mesh (leather mount on his shoulder appears to be having an issue that i'm trying to fix).
book binding is a lot of fun! Making a sketchbook is a great idea. Its really rewarding to hold the book afterwards, flip through it. Would be great to then fill it full of drawings! Oh that's good to hear. I suppose. I'm in school right now and the cost per class is $4000 and the general instruction isn't great.. For $1300, weekly crits, and someone who knows the pipeline well.. seems pretty good in comparison.

From looking at your portfolio I would say the weakest point is the character anatomy and portraits. On your Achilles model, his armor has some great texture work but because of the lower quality of the face sculpt it hurts the overall piece.
