Thanks for your feedbacks! @Limewax : I really appreciate that you took the time to redo this little tutorial, the result is pretty good ! :) I know that the 'tiling exposing' part is a bit short, but as I was writing this, I was telling myself that I could not go too far into the Substance functions and that I'd better do…
You are probably going to want to make a matinee -- it is UDK's internal animation tool. You can set up keyframes on a camera, director groups, etc... much easier than using kismet to hand script this stuff. www.3dmotive.com/ --> has a fantastic series on matinee cutscenes. Sounds like what you are looking for, but its 20…
[ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icqPZnD_3lA"]Blender Retopology Tutorial/Workflow - YouTube[/ame] This tutorial you were talking about, I have watched it many times and yes, blender is great for re-topology. The bad part comes when you are trying to remove the edge loops or individual edges. Since I am still kind of…
you again?! it sounds like what you want is particle effects - a few slow moving mostly transparent particles on top of each other should work nicely. eat 3d do a great tutorial by hourences called Unreal Development Kit 2 - Creating Cinematics & Environmental Effects that goes over fog, rain, lightning, fire, camera work…
@Sense42 thanks for the tips! I made her torso short to keep close to the original concept as best I could. But I'll give it a try, I'm not too far in so these kind of changes aren't so fatal  @razzman Thanks for sharing your technique! I had a similar idea for the carpet, but for thickness, learning to use the…
I think the problem in the second picture is that when you use clay polish it actually masks your mesh but you aren't able to see it. Make sure to hold control and drag a box outside of your mesh to unmask it after using clay polish. Those brushes are a good start. As for making it a tiling texture there is a good tutorial…
a good way to start is to study how you make transparency for image files. I'm not sure what program you are using but if you go to this link http://store.got3d.com/products/3d-models-tree-1/index.html you can download a really low poly tree for 3ds max and i suggest you open the .tga file in photoshop and see how the…
That the first thing I tried was using search terms like model and character sheets and at the least all that was returned was D&D character sheets and model sheets returned mostly cartoon image planes. What Im looking for is at least one solid character sheet with a front and side view in the t-stance position. Not to…
Here's how to handle the teeth, since I have your attention. You want to attach all your objects into one, so you can make one set of uvws. but before you attach all the teeth, just attach one of them, and unwrap it like I did in the seam drawing (pelt should work fine). Then copy that one tooth, and place it where the…
Was looking around at old stuff and found some old video "tutorials" (not really tutorials because there's jack-all explanation, but that's ok, they're fun to watch) by Dark Horizon. Soes, I decided to dig up the Magdalena model by Skullbox and do a head sort of like what was in one of DH's videos. Result: Old Image (See…
