Programs don't all use the same standards as other programs. The green channel of Normal Maps is one of those things, where half the programs want it one way, and half the programs want it the other way. It's a simple fix in photoshop. The green screen effect is just for visualisation, it doesn't show up in the final GIF. It appears on pixels that don't change for more than one frame, so those pixels don't need to be written in subsequent frames (making the GIF filesize smaller at no visual cost).
