Yeah i guess so. but something thats more surprising is that it doesnt look like a 2k model :/ my ferox is at 1400 tris and i guess has better silhouette than this guy. Seems like a 600-800 tri model to be very honest. oh well :) But yeah thanks for the info mop, i was wondering what the count should have been- wanan try…
That drive has firewire 800- but there's other solutions that have eSATA as well. Raid archiving is simpler than that- you have two identical drives in the external enclosure, every write to the raid volume happens to both disks. See how the enclosure i linked to has the two drives visible on the front? you can actually…
I like the immediate access to your work, thats always good. As Swizzle said, its a lil narrow with lots of empty screenspace. Cant say for sure, but the people interrested in 3d etc. probably aignt running 800x600... hell my 3y old lappy is running 1920x1200. Its nitpicking ofcause, but having to scroll alot due to unused…
i would make a wrapper div that holds everything (if you havnt) so you can set a margin on the top and the left so that when people open the site its in the center of their browser. something like this.. CSS: #wrapper( margin-left:100px; margin-top:150px; width:800px; height:600px; float:left; } HTML: <div id="wrapper">…
actually I would recommend 3dsmax for game art, its got you best positioned in the industry as a viable tool. I don't cliam to know it inside out but found it incredibly easy to model with. also max, maya and xsi are the only ones out there that support cg shaders for games. however cinema 4d does have the same if not…
Another release, another piss poor performance on my machine. 20k mesh and it navigates at about 15 frames a second, even less when the workspace is in quad view. I can load a 800k mesh into Maya no problem, so it can't be my hardware. I wish they'd take such issues more seriously.
By knowledge of anatomy, do you mean porportions? This model was made to the scale of the Vitrurian man, so I assumed it was the right shape. Also, to clarify, the model without mesh smoothing is only 800 polys. Just to clarify. I am trying to add more details and such, so we shall see what I can do. More pictures will…
I just dropped $500 on my rig. But I got a fairly large overhaul for that sum. I got a new motherboard, a new processor, a new power supply, new RAM, and a new video card. It's all lower-end brands (for the most part) but I'm actually quite satisfied with the performance I'm squeezing out of it. The motherboard is an Asus…
The most decent wages you can expect in the US: Experience 1 year or less: 35-40k 2 years: 45-50k 3 years: 50-60k 4 years: 60-80k 5 years: 65-90k 6 years: 65-90k It starts to cap out if you don't keep advancing. But, I think you have a greater chance after 6 years to get a much sweeter deal. Some startup that has vc money…
See now i know that info is wrong.. Straight from the Nintendo site states: http://www.nintendo.com/techspecgcn Clock frequency : 485 MHz System Memory : 40MB (TOTAL) Main Memory : 24 MB A-Memory : 16MB (81MHz DRAM) Texture read bandwidth : 10.4GB/second (Peak) Main memory bandwidth : 2.6GB/second (Peak) So how did you…
