Great start for handpainting! Seem to have a bit of an uncanny valley thing going on with the realistic texturing and anime proportions. Should check out the method hazardous goes into for handpainting textures in this thread! Really great stuff. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1412796&postcount=41
the wing suit gets my vote, that was incredible. They are probably dead now... As I'm too chicken to do the flying thing, this gets my realistic vote. Also, I'd like to make my own house, preferably from something that will last long after I'm gone...
I'm very impressed at the realistic texture you gave him, wonderful work. I absolutely love your Mepi model, you are now my favorite 3d artist. Your so good you made me register! lol. Keep up the awsome work.
Thanks, my attempts on painting leather edges and highlights are always not realistic enough. As well as the metal. I am going to paint shadows next on skin, hair and clothings. I actually felt the same thing, but just lack a way to fix it. Too clumsy at painting, sigh...
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] ... used biped to check porportions [/ QUOTE ] can help - http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot/humans/humans/male-7.GIF [/ QUOTE ] You're kidding right? Those are very stylized proportions, and should not be used as reference for anything resembling realistic people.
I really like how this model is coming out. The bottom doesn't look realistic but as you said it does great a looking busy hehe I think the bumpers look pretty cool as they are. they are a bit different but I think it gives a cool little touch to the car :D
Yeah I saw the clip and it doesnt look that realistic, its the prequels. The scratching on that image isnt even logical, a flat surface is worn away before the corners and edges. I just dont remember seeing any ww2 vehicles as badly dinged up as these prequel ships.
Ahh excellent. The faces in Oblivion were definitely T3h SUCK. I found that with a heroic amount of adjustment in the character generation phase I could actually make someone halfway realistic/attractive. As for those NPCs... yeesh They used a vast amount of third-party software in that game, no?
Obviously you have not reversed the green channel of your normal over most/all your models, once doing, this will make it even more beautiful and certainly more realistic, look at the red arrow on the screen, we see that the stones (modesl) and the bricks are not illuminated in the same way
This is a bit amusing to me. Not in bad way. When we are considering hiring a guy for an environment position, I usually give them an a quick art test. The art test is to make a realistic dumpster. Yours is one of the best i've seen. Very Pro. Are you currently employed?
