I created NURBS circles in maya to fit the arm then went to Surfaces > Loft to make the bands. Then you go to modify > convert nurbs to polys. I found the problem with the armor. I had the normals reversed for some parts of the armor.
I modified a few poses and played with timing a bit.. I still want to re work the frame right before the cluib flattens out. Still thinking about annothign more frames to help his transition back to idle.
updating... removed the height fog as of now, it doesnt fdo me any good; added a hallway (gate yet to be modelled) with some steps in the end; modified lighting; added some extra props, decals and mats; resized texs and models.
It's not a bug. Every vertex has its own animation keys. Use the curve editor or dope sheet to adjust the keys for that vertex. BTW, personally I would animate using modifiers. Then if needed bake to a vertex animation with point cache.
I own a Torque 3D license and I can tell you it's not worth it. It's severely limited. You need to be able to modify the source code to get as much out of it as you would with UDK, Cry Engine, or even Unity 3D.
Here's a concept. Jug ability modifier, inspired by radiant wells. Here's a wip on one of my previous concepts tweaked a bit. Its a bamboo basher for brewmaster. Perspective really made the handle look small..... O well. Comments?
Not sure if it's still of any use, but I'm gonna say slightly modified geospheres. 80 triangles apiece. Though you can of course use a different geosphere as a base, this one seems to be a bit chunkier than you might want.
Scanned a log the other day, can't decide which texture to use, i modified the textures to be more compatible with the scene. The bottom one is the original, I painted the conifer bark on top but i think it lost some detail in the process.
@DannSw, thanks for your reply! I am actually using the projection modifier for the cage, but those are the results its giving me which I can't seem to fix :l thank you for the link, and i'll check out xNormal!
You can use photo overlays when doing hand painted if you want some detail. Something like this: If you find a good photo and modify it you can get great results unfortunately it is not the case in my paintover.
