Keep trying. This happens to me every time. You just have to persevere. It's a pain but well worth it. UE4 is extremely artist-friendly and an excellent piece of software. Epic devs and community input pushes the engine forward at an astonishing rate of progress.
The game is perfectly playable on the Keyboard for those wondering, you might have issues with the 'dash' buttons, since I can't imagine how awkwardly you would have to position your hands in that case, but other then that, a pad is recommended by the Dev's even.
Sooo much better! You textures work well with this lighting, and it has really imporved the realism. Remember, if its a medieval subject, never light with white! (just made that up! haha) EDIT: well, that not strictly true, but it def works with this character
The collision makes sense, a combo of both gives you the best of both worlds, whichever one gave you the results you needed. That plane tool sounds amazing. Is there anything like it that ships with Unity, or was that something the devs cooked up themselves?
just spent the last 2 hours being completely drawn in to that world. Holy crap. Easily one of my favourite games in the past several years, if not overall. And again, that's with only 2 hours played. Well done, devs. Well done.
Yes, but again, written. Strumpy Editor is your second best bet, but it has fallen behind some, apparently they've hired the Strumpy Dev's and plan on adding an inhouse solution? Your other best bet is ShaderForge, but that is still a new WIP.
Be carefull, i would take out the nintendo and change some stuff so there's no copyright issue. (for exemple had a third button on the nes controller so it's not a nes controller anymore) Same for the mountain dew and every other trademark you put.
I kept it pretty simple as Patrick Bateman, oddest part was, another fellow showed up at my party with the exact same costume! Who woulda thunkit!? Hangin w/Dexter & Deb Shot of my party Me stealing the keg.
Everytime I see this I'm in awe man. Have you seen this thread? The devs seem to heavily use symmetry with decals to add asymmetry. May be useful to you depending just how closely youre trying to match the game art :)
It does not appear to work, I've put them in the root folder as well as the bin folder and I still have the slow uv selection issue. I will be rolling back my drivers as usual once I'm done playing Deus Ex.
