Dunno, in real life, I only notice scratches when the light hits the right spot, maybe tone it down on the the colour map a bit. A metallic item will receive scratches when it touches against a hard surface, so scratches most often happen on the edges, and in functional areas that are moved and touched often. Looks great…
we also have snuggies now... the future is nigh... i don't think the future will be the future though until we have a fully functional hover board.... oh, and lightsabers too.... :P give it 20 years and you'll be able to maybe afford a ticket. airlines were for the rich and famous when they first started up.
I adore that the poll is 100% yes so far. I agree with starting as a blog/pdf/e-book, much higher accessibility. Function is often sorely needed in games, look at any, ANY env that has alot of pipe work and they are all just randomly slapped all over the place, intersecting willy nilly. :D
If it were me I'd include software packages you are proficient in. DO NOT just start listing programs you've dabbled to lengthen your list. Only if you have had extended exposure to the program or atleast use it for a specific function. I say this because I have a pretty lengthy list of programs that I am efficient in.
Been working on scripting.. I've built a function in ue4 which lets me divide an images into sections and lets me use a number to call a certain cell Need to figure out how to build a blueprint and then use that to randomly select a number to drive what texture to place on the colored areas Progress Shots: (dDo) ( Maya)
I was miscategorizing curvewarp.lengthScale thinking curvewarp was an attribute, it is actually a node itself. Spire2 from cgsociety pretty much writes the script for me here: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=8365118#post8365118 although he uses functions I've yet to learn, which makes sense since I've only…
I actually just got one yesterday. I think its pretty cool. You get pressure levels when sketching - thats rad. Its no portable Cintiq, but it works pretty good. I would recommend it if you don't have any tablet and you are looking something reasonably priced with the most functionality.
Thanks buddy! Actually I started the drawing because I was bored as f*** and after a while I started to like it. The next time I'll remember that form follows function and rendering follows form. I'll think about how to redesign the neck while keeping at least a part of the solid bars (I like them a lot)
Yeh all skinning is done prior. The Smart IK functionality of it is super good actually, I think once you get use to the shortcuts and the finer details of the system it could be super powerful for getting in quick poses. I think used in tandem with another package of your choice it could really be a solid step in a…
Yeah, I figure that most of the environment would be non traffic, because by then someone will have figured out that a really useful city needs mass transit that works. So it really does come down to things that are either informational or entertainment. With a few functional things (as I said, trash wagon for instance)…
