This is getting better. Keep going! The edges of your tiles look like they flatten out, but real tiles don't do this. That should be grout instead. If the wall is going to be that damaged, the floor will be damaged as well. Default wall texture I guess. But showing that you can make damaged assets is a good thing to have… -

I dunno if Shuriken does it, but under the billboarding option (should be Billboard by default, other options are Mesh, stretched billboard, etc), you should be able to find Vertical or Horizontal billboard. If shuriken doesn't have it, you might have to look into the legacy particle system, and either use that, or hack… -

I extracted normal map from mudbox and literally stuck it on the material using the following process in max... bump > Normal Bump > Bitmap > Normal Map file as for the renderer, it is simply max's default render setup, i have not changed anything... All engines use dds (DXT) compression by default. Some use slightly modified version, for normal maps, or other special to engine textures. And NVIDIA Textures Lib is widly used for compressing them. The main difference is that UE4 handles it on importing, while CE3 forces you to use some odd plugins for photoshop 0o. -

Change the extrusion type from Group to Local Normal to get it to work like expected when extruding cylindrical selections. Caveat: If you have the default caddy-style dialogs it'll have an icon instead of text, but the setting will be there somewhere. I personally recommend actually disabling the caddies in the settings… -

Generally if I'm using a cage I don't get bad results, and I get that "small scale" warning all the time. I just make sure my stuff lines up in Maya, and leave my mesh scales at the defaults (1.00) in xNormal. Perhaps your cage is intersecting or not covering your model completely? -

AlexCatMasterSupreme- Haha, Yes, I am very familiar with Keyshot. I also am very familiar with the price of Keyshot. Which is not cheap by any means. Very much wish I had it. So I am left with good old default materials. But thanks for letting me know. Really appreciate you taking the time. -

I'm still new to this but what do you mean by splitting your smoothing groups along the UV seams? Just assign different smoothing groups? I never understood smoothing groups and this is probably why this is happening. lol And about the padding do I raise the padding level? I think the padding was on the default setting on…
