Hey guys, long time lurker here. I doubt I'll make it in time, but thought I'd give it a go. /******** Story ********/In this take of the original story the princess never came back. The beast sat on the highest tower of his castle, waiting, while his sickness spread eventually killing him. This is the moment where he knew…
Hi guys, so I'd say I'm a beginner when it comes to 3D modelling and texturing, and would love ANY feedback you may have. I use 3ds Max, Photoshop, crazy bump and beginning to try some Modo. I'm self-taught and have decided to take courses to improve my 3D Skills. You all have 'Skillz 2 pay da Billz' Thanks :D Artstation
I'm not too used to using fur, but wouldn't those clumps leave some hard-looking normals? In some of those shots I see the lighting blending nicely across the surface. But I'm picturing a regular surface with clumps sticking off, not a whole surface with matted down fur + sticky outy clumps.

If you want to protect your modelling stack, just stick an edit mesh modifier on top, rather than collapse it - works just as well. If you need to change anything afterwards, just delete the edit mesh modifier and re-add it before you export. Hopefully they'll sort this out soon! Jon.
I'm using this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WirF2bV8iNk however there seems to be differences in his version and my version. But I'm pretty sure mine is the newest version available. I find that when I create a shape in ndo, the I can't do some of the same thing he does. Like I can't use the smudge tool to modify…
Learning to handpaint..sigh..again. Hoping it will stick this time. Im sick of working in the realistic world haha. After doing some studies im going to do a scene. Where does the hand painted artist community render models? Unreal, Toolbag? Im messing with Toolbag and not getting good results at all, its like the texture…
