Deus Ex holds up pretty well these days. It was never a particularly attractive game, even when it was first released, but the gameplay is just as compelling as it always was. I used to work with the guy who did the voices for JC and Paul Denton.
"Under normal circumstances - you being normally what I would call a very attractive woman - I would have invited you back to share my little bed with me and you might possibly have come, but you really put me off"
Next-gen stuff has never attracted me, but I find I am doing more and more of it (which is natural in the AAA industry). That's why I'm going indie! I like lower-poly stuff with lots of painting.
As I understand it, he would still sell if for a lower price (but prices vary, of course) and while freelance work would be more attractive financially, he could work more freely (at a cost and his own risk) and bridge downtime.
yea i already submitted :( . but i appreciate your feedback none the less. I made his face feminine because it seems more attractive. I will be working on more so feel free to comment on those next ones :)
English chicks for the loss! Not that Australian ones are much better. Though while I was in Newcastle almost 2 years ago I did meet some attractive girls... Hard to understand though. Geordie... More like ALIEN! -caseyjones
Attractive looking pillar, well balanced detail :) The next piece doesn't appear to have much depth in the middle where the picture frame things are, how about making that recessed slightly and maybe plonking a low detail plaque in there or something?
At the end of the day, we are benefited that it's not only Zbrush, but now also Mudbox. Both are great tools, and both companies are working on new features to try to attract new customers, therefore, we do indeed benefit from this competition. :D
You are right about the arms and hands- now after a while of relax I can see that too And the pants- down part of that "baggy" pants will be on realtime cloth so i think, that could be visual attractive- will see in game Cheers
ya the painting normals, and being able to use a object to attract or repell the normals in a certain radius would be very usefull. especially if it worked on the objects volume, so i could say import in level geometry and have it slightly repell the normals.
