Jet fighter bust. I'm trying to learn some new things. It's still pretty loose, but after watching Peter Konig's talk at the Zbrush Summit, I decided to move on and focus on getting more ideas out. It's about 90% Zbrush with some addons made in Fusion 360. It is rendered in Keyshot with post work in Photoshop. -

(for cut tools press "k") one thing that helps out at the beginning is to enable dynamic spacebar menu under addons in the options menu now you can access (almost?) every function just by pressing spacebar and here´s a quick rundown of many usefull stuff by ralusek http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70687 -

I have used 3dsmax and maya since 2002 ish, so I am not really a Blender fan boy, but it is pretty solid these days and I am sure will go from strength to strength. I use it most of the time, but try and keep up to date with maya also, since both the Arnold and vray addons for blender do not really work last time I looked… -

Well, seems like exporting a huge object to Ue4 doesnt work well for lightmaps. Now I understand the need to import grouped objects. I'm using capsule, a Blender addon that can help with my pipeline really well. Here's a link to it. Crazy Sci-fi assets: -

You can format. But I had this happen a while ago. It was just a stupid plugin that I didnt know had installed. It wasnt the same as Stingers though. Just go through your addons in firefox or chrome or whatever you're using and see if there is anything you don't recgonize. -

worked on interactive cutaway rendering for medical illustration, as well as some shading fx for it oh yeah the effect is faster than the good ole vsync cap ;) it's not SSAO but shading is based on a cheaper technique, found at http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/publikationen/2006/unsharp_masking/webseite/ and some custom… -

Because I have friends on Xbox and wed all party chat while playing the same game, except I was on PC. Most of my friends will easily max out the addon content in a week and be done playing it before it releases anywhere else. Probably sooner since its summer. -

you might want to work with 2048 x 2048 and then scale down to 1024. No, not becaue I´m a beliver of subpixels but you never know what may be needed for promo, poster, addon or simply a longer devcycle wich regards the possibiltie that when the game is released the higher texres will be standard. -

I wish I had $150 to spend let alone $999. Anyone know where I can get Modo for $20? I do like Modo's feature set. :D Oh well, I will just have to customize the hell out of Blender, addons and UI and stuff. Might be good to learn some Blender scripting. -
Re: The TF2 Polishing Project.
TF2 was fun before they started adding everything, hats/addons/etc... plain ol' TF2.. I miss those days. Everyone was even, you didn't have to play to 'unlock' certain weapons, you got it all out of the gate. As a casual gamer, I stopped playing when they introduced that stuff, most of my friends did too.
