Dont forget they dont want people using any sort of fur system, if you you want it it will have to be poly based as in planes/alphas. Cool idea though.
If you want to change anything for "back face selection" --> "Pick through" in Modo, you must go in "system > input editor" and change those settings to your liking
You can have as many layers as you want, but no more than four used on a single component. The landscape system automatically generates shaders on a per-component basis.
That's what wear is for, right now it looks like it's field-tested. I would leave it like it was before, and not add any rust and let the wear system take care of that!
Nothing has changed dramatically and I'm not sure why it's decided to be slow all of a sudden. System metrics don't indicate much out of the ordinary but it is currently being investigated.
I think German paratroopers were issued a helmet without the big lip on the back. It also looks like it has a different strap system than the normal helmet.
