looks pretty good Xaltar! some textures would be awesome to see if you find the time, i guess this could become the "How you model dem shapes" thread but for low poly topology? Would be helpful.
If you can afford it..take a break...purge..relax...enjoy your accomplishment..for a month or two...Then hit the ground running with making your portfolio a polished bomb of employability. In the land of the art-dev jungle, Portfolio is king
I really liked this game. I have mad respect for Ninja Theory and they are probably one of my favorite devs in this current generation. They really know how to create an interesting world with great characters and awesome animation.
Dear All, Thanks for all the talents whom sending there portfolios. I'd like to add an important requirement : We are looking for senior environment/props Artist. We are still searching, and looking forward. All the best, Firas.
@3dcaster I have really only just started to use them for stylized stuff, however this artists seems to have done it with PBR materials. Def check out his portfolio, https://www.artstation.com/artwork/86vOw
Hey man I will def look into it about making it look more Nordic, do you have any examples of what you are referring too by chance?. Do you have any thoughts on the rest of the environment?
For me personally ,at the moment I enjoy trying to actually make a game/game art more than I do spending time playing. It was when I realize I want to pursue a career in game dev.
@MoP: My bad, this is 3DS Max. I'll go try Path Deform and the other method mentioned by Rhinokey and DEE, but yes, this is a small modular piece that needs to be repeated (not stretched) on a path and bent as the path bends and twists.
Back before deus ex (the first one) had come out, people talked this very same way. This goes to show how nothing has really changed at all, we're still getting great games.
Still a Maya noob, but i've run into this too. Not sure how i fixed it, but can you try the usual stuff like Del History and Freeze Transformations? Maybe even go into the rotate tool and hit reset?
