Only thing your missing is a female with some long flowing hair...or just your ability to do fur or hair. I liked..thought the spec map on the wire frame was a good touch. It made it easy to see the topology.
whatever brand you're looking at - dig through the technical specs and check the panel type. if it says TN - twisted nematic, then simply RUN. ;) unless you like a picture with terrible viewing angle and colors that shift like crazy.
*now seeing it at full height* damn that's a tall mofo, not gonna mess with him ;) . Once again, great work, your painting skills are awesome if they can carry all the weight of the diffuse and the spec and everything else in one map.
Here's a quick pic of the normalmapped lowpoly with a color and specular map, just to see what it will look like with a texture. This is not not NOT the final texture or spec, as it's just a test! Mostly posting to prevent thread death. The normal is about 80% finished.
i did some pretty decent glass on warhammer by using a bluish difuse, a cloudy alpha, a splotchy spec map, and an enviroment map of basicaly a photo. took a lot of tweaking on all of it to get it to look right, but in the end it worked
tweaked a little bit MoP- Already had a spec map on ther but I fixed it but can still use some c/c I think my light setup for the normal is off, anyone have any suggestions
hey autopsy soldier that would be really rad , do you have msn ? your pc specs seem practically the same as mine , the only diff is that i only have 1 graphic card :P and winxp64 bits.
here's something I started working on a couple days ago... Trying to build a library of diffuse/normal/spec maps for a pseudo-photo-real-ish texture pack. Thoughts/critiques/comments welcome/appreciated I plan to redo the metal, but wanted to show it anyway to get comments.
I'm not definate on what a matlab is. Does it contain only the materials properties, ie. spec/glossiness/IOR, and you would also input a separate map? AFAIK it is a file used by autodesk. Does this mean that the same .mat file could be used with different renderers in 3ds max (MR, Vray)?
We have http://www.pixagogo.com/DeicideNBF for weapons, are there any popular ones for military clothing/accessories that can be used to get textures from? I was planning to buy a spec ops GI Joe and take the clothes off and take pictures and use PS to enhance them, but i cant find then anymore.
