This is a quick update on the project, I smoothed pretty much all edges and prepared the mesh for a (hopefully) good normal map. Now it is time to start the retopology, here is the first question, is it better to use my initial low poly model or should i use topogun to redo the whole gun as a single mesh? -

This works really nicely. I assume for some workflows you could just use normal thief to grab normals from a pre-chamfered model that has been smoothed how you want it initially. That pre-chamfered model may also serve well for LOD version/base. Cheers Dave -

@pmiller001 Wow, it's very massive analysis of my work :) I started doing this model with reference which i attached to this message, but while i modeled, unfortunately moved away from initial image( I don't understand one your word, what does mean "wobbly"? My english is bad :( -

Exactly my thoughts. I am not using pymel, but I've had issues in the past where people who have given me scripts that use pymel have a way longer boot up time. I think its just the initial load, but still. Good thing to keep in mind. Thanks! -

@Pav3d Yeah I initially wanted it to be a little smaller to exaggerate the upper body a bit more, although when I measure it still comes out at around 8, 1/2 heads. Does this look about right? It's a bit late for me to go back but I appreciate this feedback for future projects. -

Yeah, I wish Epic was at a point with Unreal Tournament where they could so Steam Workshop type item sales like with TF2/Dota. Maybe allow concept artists to submit work, approve concepts for the initial release, allow 3d artist to model them, and they both get a cut of future sales. -

That was my initial idea, too. But that shouldn't be the problem either because it's the same geo. I mean, I literally do a duplicate of the blade in the lod0 and don't thouch it again T.T. Spherical turret kinda reminds me of the droids from star wars. You might be able to draw some inspiration from these guys. My biggest issue with your initial concept is how off center the grounding part is, it's way in front. Unique, but also very odd, as unique stuff tends to go. -
