thankd for all the comments guys. textures (diff, norm, spec, gloss & reflection mask) all got reduced to 1024*1024. think am gonna call this done unless theres anything anyone can suggest thx
Quick Maya screen grab update. It's the matching file cabinet set that goes with the desk. It's sitting at 60 Tris, maps include Diffuse, Normal, Spec, Gloss and textured in Ddo. 1950 File Cabinet (click to view in 3D)
Hey there, here are my specs: And that's the thing - when I re-create the hair and load it in the scene, it's fine. Then I save the scene, re-open, and bam, it's like this again. Do you think this video card is insufficient? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure specs are okay, I checked it. Obscura - I've done what you said, it's really bright now, u sure it looks better this way? I think the previous version was a little bit better.
What is that part supposed to look like, and how steep is the edge? I can't tell from that screenshot, but to me it looks perfectly fine once the Spec and Color maps come into play. Even without them it looks functional.
I always add leaks and shit :D on dirty stuff i think it looks great if finetuned from gloss and spec and maybe a little diffuse buuut just a little :) .Heh maybe colored version in dlc :P
Looks great! I think you did a great job selling the different materials with the spec.. My only complaint is that you could probably be a bit more efficient with the UV space by removing the black parts and mirroring UVs..
Like you said, letting the spec and normal maps take care is the best approach. Maybe bake some very subtle AO into the diffuse if you think it lacks detail. Id say the final result is all that counts.
@Olli Spec is indeed something that needs some work! @Passerby Well I'm no expert in (fire)weapons, but there are some visual differences AN94 AK103 They're both russian though and also seems to fit the same customisable assets...
Thanks for the welcome and like! This is being developed for P.C. spec and normal maps coming soon! Here are the texture and UV maps, I went for two 1024's because the cannon will be viewed close up from most angles
