lol so other than having to deal with Ue4 only rendering one side of a an asset/Material (which I'm pretty sure you can just check a box that say's something to extent of "render two sided material" that fix's it) there really is no need for keeping extra face's that you aren't gonna be seeing and take up space in lightmap… -

Basically, Silicon Knights were claiming they'd modified UE3 to the extent that they should no longer have to pay the license fees. The case they were arguing came down to them arguiing that Epic were 'deliberately sabotaging' them by not providing adequate support, and doing this as a means to further their own products.… -

Figure out how you learn best. I know that for me I learn the most just diving into a project and learning as I go. As Richard said, I think programming is also just an extension of problem solving and thats where you learn the most. Solving problems :) Writing regular programs for stuff you know is boring (IMO atleast :P) -

Yeah, I was trying to do that to a certain extent but it wasn't viable in this case, sue to lightmaps and textures. I mean, after I added my initial books (idividuall and very stupidly) I had 15759 books.I think I'm almost ready to laugh about it. :) Good to know, I couldn't really find much info online about instances.… -

I agree to an extent. I usually use the (sp?) on proper names or places and, more than likely, use it when I am in a hurry. So yah, I admit it is a bit lazy. What does annoy me is abbreviating words that are already only like 3-5 letters long. Just spend the extra couple seconds to hit the damn keys! -

video game journalists have always struck me as retarded. i think a prerequisite for being a journalist is that you're intelligent. if you can't get over your own personal bias enough to not slant the games that you review to an uneven extent, then you shouldn't be a journalist. if you can do that, then it doesn't matter… -

nearly all models of our demo games were made in Cinema4D, friend uses it extensively, also wrote the exporter. Modelling work seems okay (no animation stuff so, as that is a bit weak). And he had to code his own UV tools and some other "lowpoly" oriented scripts, some of which can be found at our website under "ArtTools".
