Okay Im doing the Ulfen Guard because I need to work on my female anatomy. Spent the rest of my night starting to block out her major forms. Still have A LONG WAY to go but the land marks in the concept I looked for was the nose, the eyes and the cheeks, I think those define her face the best. -

hey ahendowski, I like the way you've modeled the shoulders, I feel like the relationship between the V lines and the hips is a little off at the moment, like I think the hips should be a little wider. Also his pecks and V lines seem VERY defined while his abs are barely noticable. Anyway, I hope this helps -

The center of his shirt doesn't look bad, but the folds in his arms don't look good, it actually is a common thing I'm seeing throughout this piece, your edges need to be crisper, especially on that hard surface gun, it feels really blobby, and not defined, I think if you harden the edges where appropriate it will… -

yes, to prevent the the pole vector constraint to create a pop in the joints orientation, you need to create it on the virtual plane, that is defined by the joint chain. If you dont want the constraint directly on the joint chain, you can model a poly triangle around your joints, offset its size, and place it on this plane… -

I almost never work with symmetry on, though I mirror stuff a lot. The actual world direction doesn't matter too much as it's easy to mirror across any axis (x, y, z, user defined) in Modo. That said, I usually have the model/viewport situated so that I seem to be working with the "left" side of a model. -

Perfection is in the imperfections. The superhero characters with the large muscles, breasts, etc. are boring without a defining character flaw. Agreed with conte. The issue here is not that people are burnt out (if we were, waywo would be deserted), but because some of the themes are way too broad to even pick and start something aka it's easy to get lost. Just compare the number of results for broad themes versus specific ones. Further defining a theme will yield… -
