Except you'll necessarily see certain types of games disappear. The industry shouldn't consist entirely of publisher-driven, AAA blockbuster titles. But there is a place for them.
No one chimed in on if Blockbuster and the like pay a premium for a videogame like they do for rental movies in order to rent them out. What happened to "Just wait"?
http://www.doctormacro1.info/ I found doin studies of those to be really fucking helpful too! Some are a little too blownout but theres a lot of awesome!
Also obviously applies to games! :)Art direction is art direction. It also mentions the infamous teal and orange look you see everywhere nowadays. http://library.creativecow.net/articles/maschwitz_stu/red-giant-blockbuster-film-look/video-tutorial.php
How can you remember A*Mazing but forget It's a Knockout? http://youtu.be/jHDw-boMPag It's Australian TV from the 80's so I'm pretty sure that in retrospect it's completely terrible
Super nice attention! I was so knockout when I saw the post on astroneer blog last night, His work will always be a great inspiration. Best wishes to his friends and family.
That's because you're applying the AAA mindset to f2p games, you don't have to be a blockbuster hit to make a sustainable profit. I've been working in the f2p market for about 4 years now.
haha did you guys hear the lulz of a supposed contemplated lawsuit between the blockbuster Delgo and Avatar for their similarities? http://www.cinematical.com/2009/08/27/delgo-creators-mull-avatar-lawsuit/
I'd be happy to see a summer blockbuster that isn't based on a comic book, an older movie, a 80s child cartoon, or a novel. But then again I wouldn't have anything to watch.
It's on my Christmas shopping list. Don't have time to play it until then anyway. I'm glad that games like these can beat all autumn blockbusters. At least on Steam.
