Here's the wires, posted em a few months back: http://www.rage-unleashed.biz/WebsiteImages/ArmyDillo.jpg Here's the flats: bump: spec: Yea's it's bright because of the lighting, what's the quick and easy way to do a global illumination render in maya?
If you dont think you can find a local job and dont want to relocate then perhaps try to freelance? BTW your pixel stuff is very nice so maybe you should do some DS spec models.
aha fliped green channel was the prob. yay PRETTY. jsut have to tweak maps now. Maybe an option in the shader to flip green like ben's shader? [edit] yay for bald girls [edit][edit] tweaked spec a lil...
This is awesome. Model/highpoly are incredible -- texture's a bit weak. Too much random noisy detail, especially in the spec -- gives it that mid 90s prerender character. I'd try and define the materials a bit more subtly. Cool stuff, regardless.
It's hard to make out much in this environment, it's way too dark. From what I can make out though your textures look a bit blurry, and you need to have some spec on the metal areas to react to the light.
Finally, progress I simply made the colours, scratching and ageing later! Spec is very rushed for colour testing. P.S. thx for comments @ spacemonkey I thought more about fancy UT weapons, not about that Flash Gordon crap!
one thing ive noticed, if its raining the spec on the ground should be more consistent looks like you have shiney concrete then dry dirt. if its rain soaked it should be more like mud and just as shiney as the concrete
Hmmm not to sure where it is since i'm using mental ray. Heres an update with the normal map and spec maps applied. Still work to do but it's moving along. Just want to get this part of the building done and move down the line.
just show the different bits and pieces. i'd lay them out in an array, like in a lego catalog. give poly count and texture specs for each piece. on a separate page, you could show an example of the pieces working together.
Thank god you put tape on it, or else it wouldn't of been next gen spec! What's with the fad with tape on guns? A lot of the time people just put that crap on there randomly to increase the indie functionality on it. I see NO functionality of it being there.
