This is great level design practice. I like the direction its takeing with the mood too. The more you can get away from the monotone brown the better i think.
iirc you can just attach it to a socket on the skeletal mesh in the viewport bit of the character blueprint - you don't need to do it in the construction script although it's probably good practice
Undoz updated his Practical MaterialSet Also added some basemesh goodies Undoz,Zbro and Afisher where kind enough to share with the community. Get them in the First post :)
Sincere thanks to the organizers for hosting the contest. It was a great practice run and a chance to hone rusty skillsets. Thanks to all who dropped by or gave comments. Cheers and good luck to all ! :)
I just got myself Substance Painter and spent yesterday watching the Lynda course on it. I've still got plenty of practice to do but here's my first model textured in it:
This seems like a great exercise to practice speed, I'll have to try doing something like this myself when I get some free time. Thanks for sharing the videos!
I started modeling stuff a little too complex for myself but had the inspiration for them. I just wish I started on simple props, barrels, and crates to practice texturing.
I painted over my past coloured one, it became too saturated and dark at the same time.. I need to practice this more. Not very sure as to where the grays would be..
