Did you change smoothing groups on the normal mapped one? Cause the low poly without the NM looks like it has lots of smoothing group errors, but with the normal map, not so much. Unless NM covers smoothing group stuff up that much.
Anyone else had this issue? - I've even tried fresh mesh and target and using the Bonus Tools Pose Blend Shape tool, following the youtube guide exactly and it gives an error. I have Service pack 4. Has anyone had this issue? :'(
So you have mipmapping off? Otherwise there _will_ be seams if you forgo edge padding. You could also check if there is mesh compression/optimization going on (if exporting as obj, or when importing in to unity).. i've had uv precision errors in the past in this case.
@Snader: Oops! :poly136: Nice catch on my error. Yes my example geometry would definitely have issues. (that's what I get for rushing something for an example pic...). @1magus: I hope I didn't lead you astray with my pic.
Looks like the Camera based selection is on automatic mode. Try to turn it off in modeling toolkit. If as you said the option is greyed out, you can try to type this command and see if it does something or if you got an error message in the script editor: selectPref -useDepth false;
can you start up in safe mode? since it is a svchost error message it is prolly a bad system service. so if you can start in safe mode than run services.msc and disable the problem causer it should get you back up and running.
Im having problems to open my thread of work in progres. I just cant do it. I followed al steps carefully: registration, activation and first post. What is the problem? Why Im recieving an error when I try to open a thread?
Doh, didn't even notice that error with the "(". I like the idea of bouncing when clicked, i'll play around with that a bit, see what I come up with. As far as info, in all the galleries I'm working on a larger view that will give details. Thanks for the input!
Yeah I second that.. the guys at nvidia were really great when I was learning melody and running into errors.. They had fixs for all my problems with the following version... Eric thanks for the tip.. Ill shoot them an email with some ideas.. thanks -mike
I think 4.5 has the Mirror Skin Weights in Edit Smooth Skin menu. You should try that. Works great when you have one side weighted. Although I get some errors in the hands area when I use it.
