The links doesn't work for some reason. Just takes me to the main page. As for the asset, it's looking much better now. But it feels like you still could do a lot of wear and tear, cool stuff in the spec and gloss etc :)
For my fix, I insured I had an alpha in the Spec and Normal Map. When I created my own shader in order to make it work I had to check invert height map to make sure everything works.
Nfrrshitname That is bullshit, A prize is not payment. It never has been considered payment and never should be. It is simply an incentive to do better and isnt design isnt for compensation of work done. This is approaching spec work a little too much for my liking...
Looks really cool man, great attention to detail. I might give the grip texture a little more bump or maybe push the spec a little more. Can't wait to see the finished piece! Where are you going to school?
Marmoset all the way! :) wanted to make sure I knew both methods of pbr, so this is using spec/gloss and everything else I've been doing is Metal/Rough. can't get the logo to render but will put it on there for the final image
Looking good! If you're going for some kind of metal for the base of the horns you should probably be able to punch up the spec intensity just a bit to get that metallic feel. The horns look pretty good as is :) Great work btw!
If you're intending for game-specs then you should fake these holes by normal maps or alpha maps. Small details like these tiny holes does not justify the polygon count used on them. @WilliamVaughan Cool beans. Is it possible to bake them?
update: applied very basic diffuse with normal/spec/gloss. still have a lot more to do in texture and more to do in sculpt like creating the stand for the eye. the background environment is made by crytek and is being rendered in cryengine 3.
Another update! I changed the textures alot...Added a gradient map, did some color correction, and updated the spec to give the armor a bordered look. I think she's getting pretty close to finished. C&C is appreciated
Got a few hours of texture work done tonight, hopefully i can get a fair bit more done tomorrow aswell. She still needs a gloss map so a few materials are a little off in the spec values.
