Dear god, I think I'm done with the silhouette of the Maul of Sanguine Retribution. What a challenge, getting it to fit with the vanilla maul proportions while retaining the shape of the head. That was damn fun! Time for more fun; tweaking and details.
say hello to Game Dev map! https://www.gamedevmap.com/ It shows you what studios work out of which cities. It's not 100% complete, since a lot of smaller studios might be missed but it's worth checking out for a general idea.
This is a video tutorial off the "how u model dem shapes?" thread, by bitmap, it's modo I think but it's the process that's the point. I found it useful, could be worth a look :) . http://boards.polycount.net/showpost.php?p=900468&postcount=281
I agree I would def pick one of the colors from the couch and use it as the matte paint color for the tv stand. Blends in a bit much with the wallboards right now. Either that or lighten the wood color to see the difference.
hey hugh, cool video for the vertex normals, that's a really neat way to solve that issue! And i agree with jeffro about the textures man. It's a good base but you could def push them more. Keep it up man
um, yeah, I'd worry if you were selling a Durango dev-kit. Now it's a collectible as far as a "blacklist" just don't be an insufferable dickhead - don't trash the office over the weekend or threaten to punch a coworker, stuff like that.
This is a sketch that I did today next to some other work I was doing. It started out as random shapes until it became this...thing...by the time I was finished I was like 'Oh dear what have I drawn?'
Hey I'm a little busy making my own game atm but If you don't need things done in a hurry I can help you out I'm programmer. By the way what dev tools are you using?
Tim - I'm still to play around with the environment but I'm going to keep the palette pretty tight and muted, so the characters and objects pop out more. kp - Thanks ;D If anything happened pc would def be first ;)
Dang where getting popular now. Some people just come here to bad mouth us Dev's now :( At any rate. Ignore that shit guys. Awesome job on the game, hope it does really well guys!
