It depends on the project and resolution. The longest I've had for 15k poly characters is 3-4 weeks. I am working on 3-4k polys and 1024 textures at the moment and spend 2 weeks on them. 4-5 days for high poly, 1-2 days for low poly and uvs, 4 days for texturing and setting up in-game shaders. Usually a TD rigs the stuff.… -

I actually do make my edges a lot smother than they are in real life for map baking purposes and what not. But when I'm rendering high poly weapons for representation purposes I crease those edges to make them sharper and it works fairly good, I'm really satisfied with the results. Your reel was missing your name at the start. It should be the first thing people see. I think there were FAR too many polygons in your LODs. For your third lod of 3k It really should have been under 1000. Thats the whole point of Lods, to really make a significant leap in model detail. That lod will be about 40 pixels…
