Find out which bits are going to need a special Shader(including alpha) , split those off and then you're at the mercy of texel density for the rest -

Yes. Again, did you try the same setup (UVs and Polygroups included) with a simple test object like a sphere, and was it giving the same results? -

Wondering about this as well. This functionality was included and very simple to use in the old dDo. Can't seem to find any similar features in the new one.
