Or CTRL-X... AKA Expert mode since its nearly identical, and gives you a quick way to cancel on the fly. And seriously how does anyone get anything done without the command panel. I have mine extended twice just to cut down on the constant scrolling.

Data-fucking-day, what did Karmageddon just fucking now ask kindly? To keep your political BS to yourself, and mine to mine, and that this 'topic' was just a friendly reminder if anyone was interested in the AMA. We don't need drama in every single thread, Taco made enough for today.
Hey mate, it looks like you fixed the text link but not the one in the actual link. The other bit where it says [url=etcetc]. It still links to the site with the extra s in it aha. So I tracked down the article and it was a good read and helpful! Thank you for taking the time to write it :) .
Notice that you have more than one binormal for a number of those problem areas. It means that you have a vertex split there. (aka a different smoothing group.) try clearing then reseting your smoothing groups in max, either via an autosmooth or just set it all to smoothing group 1.
Saksoy: Thanks dude, I'll keep this thread updated as I keep working on it :) . Stevston89: Yeah no problem, here's a grey mat render for you :) . Narh: Thanks aha, yeah 2 days but put in a quite a lot of hours in over them 2 days :P Thanks for the feedback guys :)
God i need to learn how to use graphite. Far too limited in my knowledge of 3dsmax 2012... Barely scratched 2009 and then went an got 2012 (stu) an they've piled on the new tools! 'Swift loop' is the only real tool i know out of graphite's jewels aha
It's beautiful! It's sort of interesting that no one has really done this subject to such perfection. The new spec map looks better, but alas the tank still looks... Off. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you how to do fix that, my only suggestion is to maybe tone down the noise on the exposed metal.
i like the brick pattern, its funky - but it is a bit much for the overall scene. Reminds me of some wierd 70s wall hangings/deco, that and my grandma's house. Maybe single it out as a deco accent piece in areas, and have a more subdued brick/wall ala the floor&seating?
[ QUOTE ] At the end of the demo they had you try to raise an X-Wing out of a lake ala Star Wars, which was really tough to do... [/ QUOTE ] Do, or do not. There is no try... Sounds pretty cool actually, but it would have to go a lot further to make it fun rather than a challenge.
