Ah cheers, did have a peak, got it compiled now, all of the files are in place, However, now trying to open it up in HLmv it just says about an error opening it. (I realise the materials folder is in the wrong place, that has been changed)
After 3 days... this post was my rubber duck (ask a programmer) My scale was set wrong (meters not centimeters) so they were rotating around 0.081 rather than 8.1 which would seem like the origin. school boy error :(
I've reviewed my workflow and it seems like using the bend technique works well. I was worried about the mesh displaying some shading errors due to general topology transformations but it doesn't seem like its the case. Thanks for mentioning the trick :)
It helps to know what focal length the original image used so that you can match your camera settings, but you can get pretty close through trial and error as well. You can find this on your camera's Attribute settings.
The weapons are less accurate. Still, use the Iron Sights and don't run. If you run the sights get more bouncey. If you can fire prone, they are less bouncey but yeah the C.E.P. (Circle of Error Probability), is a lot wider than reality. Scott
O_o Anyway, fixed some porportion errors, and started on the head (i'll probably scrap the head and start over it quick anyway, looks dorky from the side). Arms look very thin from the side still, and I plan on buffing that out.
yeah better to have made a highpoly., right now all the shading info you had in the difuse transmited onto the normal map giving you shading errors. Either do a good highpoly and redo this or start something new good luck !
If file planet dosn't seem to know it has the files try again in a little while. Its kind of funny about the files that it has that arent uber popular. Click on it, get the error message then try again in a couple of seconds. Works for me sometimes.
My damn problem is with punkbuster. I did a fresh DVD install yesterday, installed EuroForce and Special Forces, then dropped the 1.3 on it. Patched fine. Punkbuster is giving me "inadequate OS privelages" error. I'm the god damn PC ADMIN. WTF?
Has anyone managed to import anything from Sculptris to 3ds max? Every time I tried to import something, I get an Invalid Vertex Index error. Kinda sucks if you can't use the sculpts you create anywhere else :/
