That's some nice hard surface you've got going on there! I noticed you sacrificed edges on a couple of cylinders in the low poly, were you going for a specific budget? Did you end up using any texture generator suite on this? The white backing is giving me a little bit of a dDo vibe but I could be wrong. Solid material… -

The talk is referring to high poly -> low poly bakes and therefore it's true that fixing faulty normal maps in photoshop due to poor bakes is bad practice. Something which has been stated in multiple polycount threads several times. Just gave it a try and it looks fine here. Did you by any chance just forgot to add an Edge… -

worked on the ship. using four 512 textures. tiling green wood, white wood, unique elements, and one for AO that im gonna multiply in unreal on 2nd channel. I think the cheeks could be rounded more, and add more to the sides of the face to make it rounder. I would push in the bridge of the nose on him as it gets closer to the eyebrows. Also it might help if you raised his brow a bit. More work on the texture will help too, but I'm no expert on that either. It looks good… -

Very true, but the DS was basically fixed at the DSL revision (minuse the hinge snap), it never got any better from that, there was only a the DSi and DSXL after that, and those didn't add anything to the degree that DS->DSL did. So looking at it now the 3ds on the outside looks solid, they'll probably improve batterylife…
