yes I have not had that problem before in mudbox but i did try to bake them in xnormals too but i got the same result. I checked my UVW Unwrap and all is fine i have even redone all the smoothing groups and normals in 3d max but it still has not solved the problem.. -

Hi DarkEdge! This is not normal, should take only a few seconds. Some questions to start off with: -What version of the sute are you running? -What version of PS? -How big is your project? (Resolution of input files) -Whats the spec on your comp? Lots of questions, but ut will hopefully help solve this issue quick :) -

Thanks guys! Have some more: I'll definitely add some transparency to the water later on; I've gotta model the lake and riverbeds for that, first. I think I've solved the clicking out of the window issue; apparently, I needed to lock the cursor to the center of the screen in addition to just hiding it, so look forward to… -

Well, actually I didn't know this, I just tried to solve this problem, and this was the first properly working solution what I found. And btw, If I would use the add with separated axis parameterization, then it would be one more expression. So I think mine is good too. Correct me if I'm wrong. -

I dunn think he is joking. Having limited information will gauge how you tackle and solve certain challenges in the art test. For example you have to do research on the type of games the studio works and where the detail should be added. Just gets them to see your critical thinking and solution on the fly. -

Here's an update. I ended up bringing it into 3ds Max and poly modeling around it. The main issue I need to solve now is how to deal with the three "finger"-like stems and how they go into the eye area. I'm not sure about the bottom area of the hilt either but I'll figure it out. Just an update. -

Gah! i'm not sure where I got the idea but I just uninstalled all USB devices in device manager, all mice and all human input devices and rebooted. That seems to have solved it so I guess some USB issue had come up. Oh well, thanks anyway. Gah! -

yeah there is a lot of specialism. The last advert I worked in I got a credit as a modeller and as a texture artist which was odd.:0 There again I did an suncream advert when I had to do the modelling/texturing animation and rendering. I had to learn stuff on the fly, was a real buzz to solve problems for myself. -

yeah that's nice ben, but why can't i find that rapidshare link containing the script in your post? i just noticed that the gc command does not execute from a toolbar (created via drap&drop). after reading the maxscript online help, i feel considerably more stupid now but didn't solve it.
