I hate to say it, but Krita is a complete mess. There's no way it would be in such a state if the devs actually listened to what users wanted, and so I very much doubt the Epic money will be spent wisely. -

2.0 is the new version of the SUITE with NDO and DDO renamed to DDO Painter and NDO Painter respectively. The legacy versions are available from the website for download. :)http://quixel.se/dev/ddo (scroll to the bottom). -

That's interesting, you have to imagine that it is some version of source otherwise the entire game would need to basically be re-made. So maybe just a dev licence of source with full source etc? -

Siggraph is probably your best bet for all around 3D If you're interested in game dev stuff - GDC is probably the best. There's probably at least one conference specific to your industry as well
