Here is my finished dumpster. First I started with reference collection. I am using a great program called PureRef which allows you to create a workspace to import images which can be cropped, resized, rotated etc with ease. I have a whole workspace for the project and in one area I have collected all of the dumpster…
hey, I spent ages trying to get it right and no doubt it is a bit of a bodged way but ya know, it worked :) the low poly cage will no doubt give me a whole new set of problems when I come to make that :/ anyway, I started off with a 36 sided cylinder. I then made a 9 sided cylinder for the cartridge holes and rotated it…
I cant help but feel nintendo have lost their way. Less and less a cohesive IP and more and more random, uninspired nonsense. They could have transformed the world of mario we've had into something truly magical, taking what was previously just backdrop and reinventing it for exploration, opening it up for both new fans…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWsdZ0IUhcg it's not a good tutorial. no sound. And this is much easier done inside photoshop. Only reason i did it in substance painter is because I learned painter before photoshop and put off learning photoshop for too long. But it's like a five minute ordeal in photoshop versus much more…
You'd be right if someone copied the concept art in its entirety and posted it as their own, but that's not the issue here. This is using someone's ideas (emphasis on ideas) and transforming them to a new medium. If you disagree with that, you should tell everyone that started all the Warhammer Axe threads that what…
Hi there. I'm glad you got those walls down and asked for help. A very close first cousin of mine is dyslexic too and she used to have too many issues regarding how to organize work, stay concentrated on a particular thing for considerable durations of time and so on. But today, she's doing just fine. Here's how she says…
i think what you need to do is go right back to the modelling stage on your building. Forget about the textures for the moment and observe buildings from life. Most buildings are far more than just a box and have far more interesting silhouettes than yours. The difference between a good building and a bad one is in the…
Using a cage is a way to specify ray distance per vertex. However you can also move it so it isn't pointing straight out along the normal. It's that part of the operation (moving from the normal) that hurts the final normal map. There are isolated incidences where you want this (at the end of a cylinder with a very low…
U2 (still good live, just try and see them after they've 'warmed up' a little touring.. saw them at a beginning of a tour and it was a little less energetic than i had hoped) The Frames - very good live, excellent energy and presentation. excellent choice of covers as well. Damien Rice - excellent live (wait for him to…
i think I've tried that one and I couldn't get it to behave correctly sometimes because of the way it looks up rotation. Give that shot first, though. if not, I tested my quick script on constrained hierarchical things with animation I didn't add a gui though, so it just fully aligns to rotation and position. So hopefully…
