I've seen some that are pretty up front, estimated costs of music and 6 months of dev and marketing, any extras go into ports or other features. I'd like to see that break down on most projects.
Check if you are in dX11! Thought I had everything setup correctly was just that for some reason Maya went back to OpenGL or maybe was me when I was checking out some dev samples XD
Yes you're closer with the turtleneck-ish top. Position your dragon in a way that CM's deep V-neckline is covered will do the trick, giving the illusion of a complete turtleneck top. Good luck my dear!
Its out on steam now, for all of those who dont know. use an xbox controller... the keyboard has a BRUTAL control scheme. Devs - WASD is NOT a joystick..... dont try and make it act like one!
Kaktuzlime, always jealous of your stuff, just love that illustrated style! Been working on a design for the main character of my game, kind of a synthetic medical droid. Crosspost from my game dev thread.
Awesome job, I totally reminds me of the arcade shmups I used to play. There's no chance you'll port this thing to the PC, is there? I don't have one o' dem fancy phones/tablets :poly005:
Thanks for the kind words guys! The project was very much inspired by Dear Esther. The grass definitely gave me a hard time. I might need to go back and see if I can fix it up.
I don't know if I'd say MODO has a long way to go. Game devs use it every day for making high end content. It's lacking in some areas, but all apps are in some way.
wow... its games like these that really peek my interest, really cool art style and the execution seems great. How long did it take you guys to develop? Any dev blogs to follow?
