What he's saying is that you need to create an area that is offset from the camera and use that to control your blend. Doesn't work based on your more recent post but the offset and idea of setting a range still apply
Well, organic environments don't really need to snap together nicely... So you can get away with a lot of intersecting geometry, blend textures on the ground, stick rocks to hide any seams and you'll be good :)
those cylinders do not need that many sides. period. I second MOP's idea of making the gun model blend in with the mesh so it doesnt look like a mech with a Q3 gun hovering in mid air above it.
Video modelling tutorial for Blender 3D (low poly terrain section). Vids are broken down into sections; vertex blending, exporting, UVWmapping etc. so you can grab the one you have most interest in.
Unwraps should be packed together as close as humanly possible because pixels don't bleed with compression. Burn your AO at 100 multiply into your textures for the most realistic effects. References are only for realistic work. /sarcasm
Chaos Theory was done in UT2 or UT2.5. I saw the presentation of it at GDC> Very slick modifications to it, with good animation blending and real time IK so the feet never slide, even when changing direction. Scott
I think its cus i need to do bit more blending and work on them because there actually bigger on the concept :P But i will definately take care when comes to proportions :) Thanks for pointing it out.
@Tul_ Awesome! Appreciate the help! I don't have too much practice with the handpainted style so anything helps. I will try blending those highlights and bit and define the difference in materials a bit more. Thanks!
It would help to see your UV layout, but it looks like an issue of some UV pieces being scaled smaller then the others, or flipped/mirrored? Around the neck it looks like there is insufficient padding and the edge is bleeding with the background.
it looks kinda washed out , since the color kinda blends with the grey . Also doesnt make much sense a forbidden sign wich are always red to be blue ( wich mean something you must do/follow :) )
