I get what you're saying 75% hasn't changed and 75% is what you use 100% of the time. For the rest of us that use the other 25% its been nice. If you're happy with 8 and it does everything you need it to do, that's great. You might want to compare 8 to 2010 after its been out for a while and see if upgrading is worth it.… -

Yep. TGAs can be 8bpp (256 colors), 16bpp (65536 colors), 24bpp (16m colors), or 32bpp (24bpp plus alpha). TIFF supports all those, plus it also supports higher bits per CHANNEL (bpc).
