Yeah 50% up front is better if you can get it. However a lot of jobs can be broken up into parts, like an animation series or a character design. If they dont go for the 50% you could always send a watermarked sketch or say a few watermarked small animations. Give the prospective client something, but nothing they can use.… -

I rarely use soft selection in the UV editor, I use it from time to time in modeling. I was a 7 year Maya user before I had to switch to Max for work and fell in love with it. Use what works best, it seems to be about 50/50 in the industry and I haven't had any issues finding Max studios to work at. -

i think you have made some valid points form a general users perspective but that's not the point of view that corporations or studios have for there workstations. in 2011 windowsXP64 finally dropped to 50% of the total windows install base. that means that right now in 2012 probably 45% of the total windows install base… -

Luving these, top work. I really like the rafia on the skull beastie. You know you can add plasticine to milliput to make it go further and a bit easier to carve after it drys. I have gone up to a 50/50 mix and its still pretty tough (make sure its mixed well). -

Ok, apologies for the thread space, but figured out a better way of doing it without getting an error and a 50/50 chance of crashing the app. After merging, it created two separate AOE's; so I got a better work around by doing so; Mask entire figure > polygroups > group masked > re-dynamesh. huzzah! -

Thanks for this, though i am a bit stuck on the re-size your image to 50%, is that 50% down or up? Also if it is up, Isn't up scaling bad? I am assuming it's down i have yet to test this .atn out. And since this is the thread after all, it would be nice to use it more than once. ;)
