Thanks for all the responses people, it's really appreciated. I think I will do some digital work but I'll stick to traditional studies and practice as well. Cheers!
I agree with this one. On my end, the wall is practically black near the fireplace and it's also very hard to see any of the detail on the floor. Adjust dem levels ;)
Show exactly what this looks like, with a practical example. Something as seemingly simple as "deleting edges" can mean very different things depending on how it's done.
Mirroring and duplicating in 3d applications is cheating. You should do it by hand so you get some real practice modeling and improve your speed and understanding.
Much improved composition, this is coming along nicely. The mountains peeking through on the right are practically a straight line, I would suggest making them more... mountainy. :)
Oh Lordy! That is one amazing gun! Reminds me of Fallout 3 plasma pistol. By the way, what's the practical application of the behind-handle part, is it as awesome as it looks? =)
On a more serious note : Keep at it, practice, sketch the weapon from multiple angles on paper, and don't create 3 threads about the same thing. Then everything will be fine! :)
