Sorry if I was being a bit unclear I thought occluded was the right word to use in this situation. Monster is spot on about what i wanted to do, And I solved it by exporting my meshes to maya and use the camera based selection tool, worked exactly how i wanted, happy ending. -

Pls, do a test for me: 1. Enter Safe Mode. 2. Execute regedit.exe 3. Locate a key called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers 4. Delete this value if it's present TdrLevel 5. Exit regedit.exe 6. Reboot and enter Windows normally. See if this solves your problem. -

So how did you solved the flickering problem of geometry which is very near to each other? And how did you hide, that the "decal"-plane is a bit in the front of the ship geometry? I mean, if you would look straight from the side, wouldn't you see that it's floating in front of the ship? -

Is this for environments of stuff like hair? If you can afford to do it, 1bit alpha with dxt3 compression can help you avoid a lot of those problems if I recall correctly. You can also try using a combiner material with your texture and playing with the alpha settings to help solve sorting. -

Something's corrupted. Theres a couple of things you can try. Run "Optimise Scene" from the File. This gets rid of all the unnecessary nodes and things from your scene and will often get rid of anything nasty with it. If this doesn't solve the problem, try creating a new scene and merging the old one into it. -

Will dive into it right now and try to get it solved in a few different ways to see what works and what doesn't :) -

Not to come off as rude, but this can really be solved by messing around with various brushes and trying things out, much faster than posting and waiting around for an answer. Experiment. Try out the trim brushes (dynamic, border, peaks, etc). Flatten/planar may also give similar results to your reference. -

if you remove the bones, skin weight the hanging arm cloth 100% to hip or root (basically so that animation doesn't effect them), then use cloth paint tool in unreal, I think you should get a proper simulation. for getting correct scale in MD, that should be simple to solve especially since you do have one working example… -

Exaggerating the highpoly isn't what solved the issue, but jsut gives a nicer result. You'll be able to see the benefits of your normal map bake much further away, rather than exclusively extremely upclose. The unwrapping part is just to follow along this golden rule for baking hardsurface/any asset really: -

looking pretty sweet but how would the back door open ---- i also think proportionaly it would better with the 2 door body - and would equally solve the back door problem -- ive done a lil mock to show you though this is probably more about my particular car taste :P
