Also watching that last shot again I don't think that girl is inflating, its whatever in the background that is exploding pushing her hair and baggy clothing away from it.
Ha, that's cool, man. Nice. Looks like the cloth simulation on his apron needed more tweaking, though. That thing's all over the place. Nice job on the gorilla.
Badass vahl, I think shotgun hit the nail on the head with the proportions. Also, where the bicep meets the forearm seems unnatural, but i'm no forearm expert.. The clothing is great!

I worked on the clothes a little bit. I am still working on the jacket and will move on to the face to make her look more like a female. comments and critiques are welcomed.
That wood is looking great, especially the wood on the lower part. I love the cloth too. I would be tempted to bevel some of edges of the building to round it out a bit.
Cloth modifiers in max 8+ can do this i thought, you can even designate stitches and run the simulation to close the stitches together around the object etc.
