Skeletal animation uses quaternions to describe the bone rotations. Spring (at least the parts I've seen documented) uses a three-axis system which limits the possible rotations AFAIK. If it had a way to use quaternions for animation I'd simply write a script that turns a skeletal animation into a .h file for the…
I see what you are saying now. There should be a U bracket to restrict movement along the axis the trailer is dragged along. I'm inclined to not bother adding it since its dark under there but this will probably nag at me enough to eventually fix it. Edit: Thanks Alan.
Ok, here is the final low-poly model of the robot with skeleton. It can't get any better than this. Im at 997 tris. I eliminated unviewable edges and faces, and got a few extra edges in where needed. This is as far as I go with the 1000k model. Now all I need to do is accurately skin it and texture it. Then I will move on…
ok so I hate when some thing like this gets my back up so I went and sorted it out properly. I blame too much wine and a fuzzy head yesterday for such a bumbled effort. Here's a properly working version! Still messy but at least it actually works! The crux is a few dummies per rotor which are driven by the waggle arm…

Your doctor deserves a swift punch to the throat. Sounds like his expert medical advice "Dont eat there" really was worth all his time in med school. I once thought I was allergic to wheat as well. Every time I ate at panera bread, later that day I'd have chills, full bloated feeling, and axiety from it all. Could have…
I'm not sure I understand the question - do you need general information about how rigs are laid out, or specific data about orientation of bones? When rigging a character generally the bone orientation will be X along the bone, and then you'd keep Y or Z common along the limbs. As I recall Biped in 3ds max has the Z axis…
it's a good thing that axolotls were discovered by scientists before they went extinct. they may be the key to figuring out how to get humans to regenerate. imagine how awesome that would be. we would be able to go hiking in 3rd world countries and not have to end up wheelchair bound for life.
