Ok, so for an average game spec, trace over what you have with some basic geometry with something a bit like this. You can certainly go higher if you want to, this is only a quick example.
Yeah, I agree. The texturing doesn't look good. Would love to see that trim along the blade of the knife. Could probably do that via your metalness/spec and gloss and make it look really slick.
i think it was 1500k triangles. texture size was 768 diffuse and spec, 1024 normal, 384 decal. weird i know, but thats what they asked for when i did it like 5 years ago.
Hi all I wasn't sure whether to make a new thread for this but I'd like a bit of critique on my textures. They are 1024x1024 - diff, spec, gloss and opacity. Thanks in advance! [IMG][/img] [IMG][/img]
id rather see/play an updated HD version of an old game...rage with PC texture rez and streaming or HD remakes than have my rose tinted specs torn away from me
Yes TheMightyKnight I do agree, I will do it same as 6th of, glad you liked, and with the video you send (thanks to that) I will make some goooood Spec for it man, with lots of stories ;) Cheers \m/
Don't use radeon cards with maya. There's a long history of them having display issues, particularly when using real-time shaders. A decent spec Nvidia gaming card will do you pretty well.
The second prop could certainly stand to have a few more triangles to round out those sharp edges. Unless they gave you a spec that you weren't allowed to deviate from, in which case disregard that. :)
Try to use gloss map on the leaves and glasses. I think it will help, especially the big leaves. I feel like leaves and glass look really great. but i think leaves' normal and spec not really there.
Specs cpu wise doesn't look that powerful. Its using a 600 vs 800 snapdragon. Qualcom recommends 800 for smart tv's. That being said, still more powerful than 1st gen Ouya.
