Haha, man I'm sorry I had to laugh when I saw that; it's just like... you're literally shedding the whole damn layer of skin. Hope you get better soon, loosing function of a hand (especially if that's the hand you use) I can imagine is no bueno.
It was released over in the UK on the 16th of june, the UI is very simple to use and have had no problems with it. for me the appeal of the tablet is that it totally unshackles me from my pc/laptop. my work being primarily email based makes this a complete boon, especially with the blackberry enterprise functionality.
It's actually a paint-over, everything matches up to the original for the most part. I've run into issues of skinning before and my concepts being a bit too out-there and not having any functional way of being worked into the game so that's always at the front of my mind whenever designing now.
Thanks, I'm the bloke who created that series. As for creasing in ZB: it's now extremely flexible, with many tools. With Zmodeler brush we have control over individual edges/edgeloops. Plus there's angle-threshold creasing, polygroup creasing, and a function to convert creasing to actual beveled geometry.
Yes, that's the solution. It's simply explained here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140607 Then use the same texture (or material function) of tiles rock on two objects. Mask the common texture it out (for example with vertex color as a lerp input) in one of them, except for the edges (the place of…
dDo Legacy is many versions behind DDO - it's not officially supported anymore. If you're working with the Quixel SUITE 2 version of DDO, I can certainly assist with importing materials. If you're working with dDo Legacy, I can also attempt to assist, but there's no guarantee of functionality in unsupported software.
To be honest, i think you're trying to keep everything too functional. You should be aiming to nail the awesome shapes in the concept, like the elbow plates for example, they're huuuuge in the concept and they really add to the silhouette, but it seems like you've gone "that won't work" and made them smaller.
Wow. You've got near 400 posts and you still don't get how polycount functions. 1. post art - recieve crit - accept crit - become a better artist 2. post blog - recieve cat gifs - get angry - thread closed/ban hammer
So always when I have an object with small but many same looking objects and I don't want to waste space in the UV I cannot use the "LayoutUV" Function and have to layout and scale myself? Wow that's not what I expected :( Will send a feature request to Autodesk. Thanks
@Odow , it's a beta ... export features are pretty different from core editing features. Even in this early stage I'd say it is pretty damn usable, especially since loading and saving are already fully functional. Printscreen is just a button away, and there are also dedicated screen capture apps out there !
