Ah, looks even better with AA! I second the notion of turning this into a banner; it's a really impressive piece. Heck, you managed to surprise me even more with that brakedown; without it, I would have never guessed you made those pieces modular to this extent.
By the way, for those using Blender and that have good extensive set of skills, won't their rates be somewhat lower since they don't charge software costs? Arguing that most Blender users are freelancers, should these people still charge software costs to maintain the rates competitive and high?
If you just need to get the tris count you can use meshlab, it's free and works great on organic stuff.. I actually think it wirks with hardsurface to some extent to. Say you want something from 1m to 100k. It's not really for making lowpoly models..
Yes, I was intensely annoyed that I couldn't use any of my nifty image downloader scripts or extensions :( Also what the hell is up with the popup window title, it says "StraightPerm.com :: Hairpieces", did they steal that image viewer script off another site or something?

Hmm, I really think the last two (and the third to a lesser extent) look like they have just a slapped on procedural noise texture instead of a real texturemap. Looks pretty bad But I understand your deadline problems But the first two (three) are pretty nice!
The star wars blaster and the engine blade could use a texture/presentation update. Like stated above the gas station could be expended into a environment with a bigger scope to be more impressive. I would also ditch the 2D stuff if you want a job as a 3D artist.
Well its not so much that one passage in particular got me confused... I dont think its written very well for NEWBS, but ... its a complicated prog.. I expect some learning curve. My problem lies in the fact that Im not getting the results I expect when I try things. So thats why my rather general "Help with UVs" thread…
