Hey looking good! I do recommend studying some hand painted stuff before continuing onto the texturing Just to get an idea on where you should be aiming They are not the best reference but still some solid colors and highlights used here! I believe you can start on hand painted work no problem Good Luck
I have been looking for fulltime job since 2008. I never made it past the interview process so finally I decided to go to college for something else. I could have continued pushing my skills further but looking at the industry and how things are turning I believe its best to develop skills in a different field.
Been a while since I posted.. but I did continue working on my project! A lot of progress has been made, so here's a few pictures. Some fixing of the face. Initial tests in Marvelous designer, after which I created her robe and imported that into Zbrush. Will need some more pattern fixing later on though :)
Just want to give you a head's up before you continue your work, the theme is 70's and 80's sci fi, not 90's. So I think you should replan your design before it's too late, I don't want you to be like me and mess up when it's already too late
Waaaaah... So sorry for the late response >_< Thank you so much! I am in 'limbo' at the moment. My stuff being in the States, while physically in Canada. I've forgotten to check my Polycount notices.. T_T I'm glad you like my works. :) It was a lot of love put in. I wish I was able to continue working on that game.
Thank you so much, means a lot coming from a guy as talented as you! I will continue to work on it tomorrow before work. I am dreading the spline, it messes so much up. I am assuming the more poses you get in during the blocking phase, generally the neater the spline will look from the get go?
Good news for everyone with bad connection (like me...). The Dota 2 Heroes Set 1 loads faster now because it is streamed. You can load the next/previous Hero by clicking on the arrows and look at the top to see the progress while you continue looking at the current one. Once the following is loaded it switches this one.…
I find the Mudbox basic human to be a nice starting point and then to beef it up a bit to what I desire. Zspheres are good if you need some inspiration as they're easy to play around with, another method involving Zspheres would be to create the rough basemesh, retopo it and then continue to work from there, so you get…
Oh hey yeah, try reading the first post where he said he searched around multiple places but wasn't able to find it? He searched for it and couldn't find it so he posted a thread asking people who know where it is to guide him instead of continuing to search. I don't understand why you take such offense to that.
This is so awesome to hear. After posting this, the first thing that happens to me is fear and doubt, what if everyone thinks this whole thing is a stupid, worthless rant? Impostor syndrome in full force. So yeah, I'm really glad that you found the post helpful enough to create an account, and I hope you continue to post!…
