Hi everyone . It has been a while since I post anything. Here is my latest robot , from jake Parker design. Normal , diffuse and spec map. Any critics is welcome :) .
I worked on the texture some more, darkening it, adding some wear and adding some spec to the wood. I've started working on the next asset on the list for this project, but any crits are still helpful.
Aye it does. Always am testing in game mode. My pc specs are i7-940 gtx 560 ti 12GB of RAM And a lot of HDD space. Should be powerful enough to handle this.
Agree with the others. Too much spec on the buggy/forklift thingy. I love it though, it's a really nice model. Lots of really nice clean hard surface modelling you've got going on.
Looking good! are you using a mask/colored spec for the Iris? If not, it can helps the eyes shine a bit, works great for stylized stuff. also do you have a normal map for the eye?
Great work! The only thing I would say is to push the spec map of the metallic parts to emphasize that they are actually metals. Right now, to me they seem more like some sort of stone.
next gen spec hero characters are taking around 3-4 months to finish on average. ps3 gen you were looking at 1 - 1.5 months getting good at it takes a lifetime..
A bit more work on the Beauty and Mockup shots with Iphone specs. The Wire shot is still to do, but once I have found a cool background, it will be pretty fast to end with that... See you guys !
Arms are insanely short. Armor doesn't allow for any movement. Design is very noisy/busy. Materials look like a first pass with just flat colors and no proper spec map yet.
just apply a material with high spec and some gloss so that you can see modeling errors, right now its very bland and impossible to see if there are any glaring issues with the HP.
