Thanks for those crits. Will use every one of those. traistanCarter - thanks for those links. JordanN - why heels ? coz concept ;p I want to stick to the concept. I agree those are too high though.
O_O uh I just wanted to use it as a reference and game art direction example in my project. anyhow I did played this game and actually liked it for its art and a bit of change from Battlefield / COD.
yeah its superbly tight, I would even say that you are wasting your time on this hipoly coz in the end you will get barely any details in normal map so youre wasting your time
A person like this should be hired out at Konami, and be made to work there for minimum wage while polishing everyone's shoes for free. EDIT: For those people who don't get it, in Japan, a bow below the belt is a huge deal.
Yeah AC3 and Far Cry 3 are both missing from Steam in the UK: http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/22/far-cry-3-assassins-creed-3-not-on-steam-uk-ubi-in-talks-with-valve/
One of the main playables in COD modern warfare 3 is 'Yuri', my name. Always a little weird to hear the characters yelling out to me during the game. "Yuri! Take out that chopper!", but actually a fun element.
coool! anyone tried lightprobes and shuriken yet? any pros and cons with the new systems? I would imagine lightprobes could be costly? hopefully shuriken isnt any more intensive than the old particle system
The base mac pros are expenskve yes. but when you get to the dual cou models the pricing is actually good. they are on par with other manufactureres, and only a few hundred to 500 more than building one your self.
I've played Crysis 3 multiplayer in whatever iteration is was at in September, and I can confirm that it was not visually very impressive (and the gameplay was an embellished CoD clone, of course). I'm interested to see what they manage to do with console hardware.
I would have likened the concept style more to the Metro Cop from Half Life 2. As long as you avoid gas masks you should be able to steer clear of any comparisons to Kill Zone.
