or a alternative is add a "Turn to poly" modifier on the stack, set the edges to "3", and then add another edit poly modifier on top of that. -

Im an expert in aircraft and modeling them and have done a few P-51's myself. The shape looks a bit off to me. Are you using a good 3 view to model from, or are you eyeballing it?
