Really like the initial design, The color pallete looks really good, gives an imperial feel. Do you plan to add more minor details into the 3d model? The concept seems to show only the overall larger shapes and colours. Good luck!
Update: Added more visual content to our Dezun Desecrator item, hopefully it provides more clarity of what the weapon is like in its entirety. I feel not having sufficient screenshots of it ingame deterred initial viewers! Lesson learned. Onward and upward!
I don't think it should, since you define the up axis manually. Try playing with that and to align it properly compared to the initial rotation. Though, I think you will definitely need to update both parts of the pistons to make it properly aligned at the end.
Yeah Pixologic have been helping resales for ages, maybe since the beginning. Wish Autodesk,Adobe, etc would take the same initiative...greedy bastards. Pixologic are so awesome they even help you find resellers. http://www.pixologic.com/resellers/
Definitely get some pieces from initial sculpt to final lowpoly with textures. There is a lot of information out there about PBR workflows and texturing in general. Sculpting skills are great but knowing how to create a texture that enhances a model is essential. Keep on, keeping on though :]
@e-freak: Rodger that! I'll be getting back to this tomorrow. I wanted to get the initial pool dimensions right-ish first so that I'd have the base to work with. Thank you for the reminder regarding the upper areas :) @Rorozilla: that makes two of us ^^
I am running into this same issue and was wondering if anyone had a better solution than just repeating last stroke as i'm running into an issue of the rgb not lining up exactly with the initial drag rectangle stroke.... Any help on a workaround would be awesome!
Added his Jurassic World shirt and vest and started sculpting the initial wrinkles and textures of the clothing. Also tweaked his face for more likeness and added some subtle skin texture. Next step - buttons and pockets. And finish off the hair, of course.
Initially i did think of weld seams but does that technology exist in that time? Def would like to get some rehammered parts and bolted stuff though. That way i can keep the leather to the handles where i want the hit of colour :)
Did some quick sketches to try and flesh out some details on the castle. I like the simplicity of my initial sketch a lot, so i don't want to clutter it up with unnecessary details. Keeping the outlandish wonky feeling is super important.
